The recipient you onboard is whoever the platform names on its payout receipt. That name is the name on the KYC or KYB and the name on the virtual bank account Fiatswaps issues. Check a recent receipt before you add the recipient.
1. Read the name on the payout receipt
Start from a document the platform produced, not from who runs the account:
- Download a recent payout receipt or invoice from the platform.
- Find the payee named on it.
- Onboard that person or that company as the recipient.
Note: Some platforms invoice a company instead of the person once the account is switched to a business plan. That changes who you onboard, so work from a current receipt rather than an older one.
2. Choose individual or business to match the payee
Pick the recipient type that matches the name on the receipt:
- Individual when the receipt names a person. They complete KYC in their own name and the virtual bank account is issued in their name.
- Company / Agency when the platform invoices your company. The company completes KYB and the account is issued in the company's name.
A personal recipient and a company recipient can both be active in the same workspace at the same time.
3. Match the country and the address too
Every detail entered during verification describes the recipient, not the platform:
- Enter the recipient's own country of residence, even when the platform is registered somewhere else.
- Enter the address on the recipient's own documents, and prove it with a proof of address.
- Check that country against the supported countries list before you start.
4. Onboard each payee separately
One recipient covers one person or one company, and their virtual bank account works across every platform that pays them. Where platform accounts pay different people, add each of them as their own recipient, with their own verification and their own account.
The account only accepts payments made to the recipient named on it. That is why the receipt, the verification, and the account details all have to carry the same name.
